Create Your Account
OpenRouter uses OAuth sign-in — no email/password setup required.
- Navigate to openrouter.ai
- Click the Login or Get API Key button in the top-right corner
- Choose your preferred sign-in method
- Once authenticated, you'll land on your dashboard

Add Credits
While some models on OpenRouter are free, most featured models (like Claude or GPT-4) require a pre-paid balance.
- Go to the Credits section (found under your user icon or in the sidebar)
- Click Deposit
- Enter $100 as your initial deposit
Good to know
OpenRouter is pay-as-you-go — no recurring subscriptions. Your credits stay in your account until you use them.

Create Your First API Key
- Navigate to the Keys page from the sidebar
- Click the Create Key button
- Name it — something descriptive for your own reference (e.g., "My Web App" or "Testing")
- Set a Credit Limit (optional) — cap how much this key can spend to prevent overages
- Click Create
Important
Copy your API key immediately. For security, OpenRouter only shows the full key once. If you close the window without saving it, you'll need to delete it and create a new one.

Add Our Team as a User
To allow our team to manage your account on your behalf, you'll need to invite us as a member.
- Go to Settings from the sidebar
- Navigate to the Team or Organization section
- Click Invite Member
- Enter the following email address:
team@rspur.com
Copy this email
- Assign the Admin role so we have the access needed to manage things for you
- Click Send Invite
Why this matters
Adding our team gives us the ability to monitor your usage, manage API keys, adjust credit limits, and troubleshoot any issues — so you don't have to.
